Elko TV District experienced an outage on July 30th affecting all channels for 6-7 hours due to network transport issue with Fiber Optic Equipment. We have ordered new backup equipment to help ensure this issue does not occur again. During this outage we found out our webpage was not updating.

April 8th, 2026 Elko Television District will be installing new equipment at PBS Reno where the Reno local channels are received and then will be properly converted to a very clean digital signal and then transported through Fiber optic carriers. We have a partnership with Humboldt and Eureka TV Districts working together to share costs and deliver Over the Air Television to Northeastern Nevada communities. The outage and equipment installation is planned for Today Wednesday April 8, 2026, from 3pm to 5pm and this time frame is just an estimate. We appreciate viewers patience and understanding.

March 28th, 2026 – CBS Salt Lake is being brought in temporarily on virtual Channel 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4. You may not have to rescan, but you if not please re-scan. Remember it is an hour ahead.

March 28th, 2026 – All Reno channels are currently affected by an issue between PBS and Switch. This issue is on the shared circuit provided by SkyFiber, and is the circuit we share cost with Humboldt and Eureka Counties. Some technical info included :

Mar. 26, 2026 Reno Channels are expected to still be down for at least another 24 hours due to 3rd party equipment failure and we are looking at options with Eureka, Humboldt and Elko who are all down as well. I am looking at options with our technical staff is looking at a solution with emergency equipment being purchased and shipped in. I will update further Friday. We do apologize to our viewers.

Mar. 25,2026 Reno Channel Pixelation problem still has not been fixed in Reno as of 7:30PM. Still waiting on 3rd party repair and is frustrating and we apologize for the Outage.

Reno Channels Pixelation problem with Reno Channels started yesterday evening. Our Technician has narrowed the problem down to where we all receive the signals at PBS Reno. I will update you with more information.
