Reno Channel Outage Thursday 2/5/26 7:30am due to fiber cut. The District has been working on a new automatic re-routing redundant Fiber Circuit through major carriers that will be activated this Friday. Final configuration will occur with our technician at the Reno Switch Data Center Monday Feb. 9th and we may experience some outages during that day again. Reno and Salt Lake channels are currently are experiencing outage problems as of last night Wednesday Jan. 28th. Reno is partially up and Salt Lake is being worked on this morning as well. Update Reno Fox Channel 11 and Kame 21. Programming has been re-routed to the District for now during their major outage on Broadcast System on Peavine Mt in Reno. Viewers of KNSN-TV (Nevada Sports Net) virtual channel 21 from Grindstone MT. We are investigating why KRXI in Reno is showing program guide but no video. Update Friday Dec 12th 1:30pm I met with the Elko Television Board and they approved a new fiber connection with large carriers with Immediate rerouting of signal to stop these outages. We have requested immediate change with Switch Data center in Reno. With this said the current carrier splicing team have been replaced with major carrier splicing crews.
